Overview
Greenways Metropolitan District Nos. 1-3 (the “Districts”) were organized to provide planning, acquisition, construction, installation and financing of public improvements allowed under Colorado law for metropolitan districts pursuant to Article 1, Title 32 of the Colorado Revised statutes, including streets, water, wastewater, traffic and safety, park and recreation, mosquito control, television relay and transportation facilities, primarily for residential development. The Districts were organized to serve the needs of the development for the purposes of financing, construction and operating public improvements serving the Districts. District No. 1 will own (subject to dedication of improvements to the City), operate, maintain and construct facilities benefiting all three Districts, and District No. 2 and District No. 3 will contribute to the costs of construction, operation and maintenance of such facilities. The Districts’ service area is located entirely within the City of Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado.
Additionally, the District is authorized to provide the following services:
- Operations and maintenance services related to landscaping, stormwater facilities, monumentation, and/or other improvements or property the Districts own
- Operation and Maintenance of park and recreational facilities and open space within the Districts
- Streetscaping & landscaping improvements
- Sidewalk and public space maintenance and amenities
- Public Art Amenities
- Community Center Improvements
- Mosquito Control
- Covenant Enforcement and design review services
